Beekeepers get the buzz on starting and improving hives with a Michigan Beekeepers Bee School Saturday, February 28, hosted at Albion College's Whitehouse Nature Center.
Separate classes will address specific issues for beginner and intermediate beekeepers. Topics include the natural history of the honeybee, hive care, bee handling, pest control, honey harvesting and more. Local bee vendors will be on hand and all classes are taught by experienced beekeepers.
Pre-Registration is $40.00; Special pricing for students under 18.A hot lunch and refreshments are included in the price of the school.
