Chen Chen, Winner of this year's Great Lakes Colleges Association New Writer Award, reads his poetry at Albion College in Thursday, February 14, at 5:30 p.m. in the Stockwell Library's Wendell Will Room.
Chen's first book, "When I Grow Up I Want to Be a List of Further Possibilities" was longlisted for the National Book Award and won the A. Poulin, Jr. Poetry Prize and the Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry, among other honor's. His work has apprised in Poetry magazine and been included in several "best of" publications. He earned an MFA from Syracuse University and currently holds a two-year appointment as Jacob Ziskind Poet-in- Residence at Brandeis University.
