History Speaker Series: Treasures from the Albion College Archives
Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 6:00 PM
Did you ever want to see a first-edition King James Bible? Original land deeds? Doing research about Albion families or Albion College?
Elizabeth Palmer, Archivist at Albion College, will give a presentation about the Albion College Archives. The College Archives and Special Collections holds some incredible and unique treasures such as a first-edition King James Bible and first-edition Book of Mormon, original land deeds for the founding of the college, photographs from hundreds of school-related activities, archival papers from influential professors and families from Albion’s community, and much more. Elizabeth’s talk will focus on resources the College Archive has to offer, what an archivist does, and some of the mysteries she’s been able to discover since starting in the position.
Free and open to the public. Light refreshments.
The History Speaker Series is a joint project of the Albion Historical Society and the Albion District Library.
