Description:

Rebecca McLaughlin, a 2014 graduate of Albion College, celebrates publication of her first novel with a visit to Albion College on Thursday, February 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the Stockwell Library Wendell Will Room.
"Nameless Queen," a young adult fantasy novel, was recently published by Crown Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Penguin Random House, which has also contracted with McLaughlin for a second book. McLaughlin grew up in what she describes as a lower middle-class household. In "Nameless Queen," she says that "exploring the social and economic divide is difficult, but magic makes that exploration easier--or at least more entertaining."
This presentation is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Albion College English department secretary Mary Morrow at mmorrow@albion.edu or 517/629-0232
