This public event invites
community members to stop by

blood test that measures
average blood sugar levels
over the past 2–3 months used
in diagnosing type 2 diabetes)
• Blood sugar checks
• Blood pressure checks
• Flu and COVID vaccines
(Please bring your insurance
card, no co-pays apply)

“We’re excited to partner with
Oaklawn to bring these

roof for World Diabetes Day,”
said Mary Jo Byrne, Fountain

“Our goal is to help community
members take small, proactive
steps toward better health.”

“Nearly half of all Americans
have either diabetes or
prediabetes. Hemmingsen Drug
Store is proud to be a part of
this event that empowers our
neighbors with tools to manage
their health.” Chris Munden,
R.Ph./President Hemmingsen
Drug Store.

“Diabetes awareness and
prevention start with
education and early
detection,” said Jason Cole,
Program Quality Coordinator,
Oaklawn Diabetes Education.
“By offering screenings like
A1C tests and providing
guidance on healthy habits, we
hope to empower people to
better understand and manage
their health.”

While all screenings and
wellness services are offered
at no cost, insurance will be
billed for flu and COVID
vaccinations, so please bring
